At its core, I designed New World WIne Tour Co to reflect a thirst for knowledge, to spark curiosity, and to promote sustainability. Whether in ethics or flavour, nobody has time for bad wine. I’m excited to help people try exciting newer varieties as well as the classics.
From bars in Adelaide, to teaching high school, and then to hotels on ski mountains, I have spent the last decade dedicating myself to what makes a great drop, customer service, and helping transfer knowledge. Coming back to Adelaide always enlightened me to what this state really excels at: wine is definitely our prize. I found myself relishing that cracking sound of a screwcap or a cork being popped. For the last year I’ve been working in a cellar door to clarify my knowledge and build my palette. There are so many great wines that you can find that don’t have a cellar door. Winemakers move around and some geniuses don’t demand the limelight. It’s like I’m looking up my favourite indie bands again and delving into obscure side-projects and collaborations.
